Modern. Minimal. Timeless.

Hi. I’m Roz. Designer & printer. Type nerd. Outdoors lover. Cheesecake enthusiast.

I love learning new skills, making things with my hands & being creative, and I’ve always taken the creative route throughout education. I studied Contemporary Decorative Crafts at Lincoln University before going on to study Graphic Design at Shillington. I’ve also done year long courses in both Letterpress and Book Arts.

I work from my studio which is on the third floor of a converted cotton mill in Oldham. I love having my own creative space to lose myself in and I also needed somewhere to house my growing collection of presses and equipment! My letterpress work is created using wood & metal type, and is printed individually by hand on a variety of antique presses, from a tabletop Adana to a larger treadle operated platen press from the early 1900’s called ‘Victor’, and an original British 8 x 5 Blockmaster hot foiling press.

When I’m not in the studio you’ll find me either outside hiking, paddleboarding, and exploring new places in a campervan, or alternatively indoors, curled up with a good book, spoon carving, or discovering new recipes in the kitchen!

The rest of the team.

Adana.

My first press, an 8 x 5” hand operated table top platen press. Small but mighty.

Victor.

9 x 13” Platen Press made in the early 1900’s. Foot powered with beautiful wooden feed boards. The workhorse of the team.

Blockmaster.

The original hot foiler. A beast of a machine with an 8 x 5” foiling area. Adds that extra ‘wow’ touch.

Nipping.

A nipping press for bookbinding. Holds everything together, literally.
